This Sub Style loaded sandwich is perfect to satisfy a huge appetite! Making homemade sub is so easy, pocket-friendly, and healthier! The best thing is it is as customizable as you would want and you can keep a check on the type of ingredients and spreads you are using.

Here’s what you need:

For the marinade

  • 1 cup of diced paneer or chicken
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • ½ cup of roasted gram flour
  • ¼ cup of smoked mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tbsp of garam masala
  • 1 tsp of chili powder
  • Juice from one lemon
  • Salt to taste

To assemble

  • Marinated and sautéd paneer or chicken
  • Cheese slices
  • 1 tbsp of ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of mustard sauce
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • Vegetable salad of your choice
  • Sandwich loaf or bun

Note: Just like any other sub, the ingredients of this recipe can be customized as per your choice. You can use any sauces, any veggies; whatever you like.

How to make it:
  • The first step is to take the yogurt in a big bowl and add the roasted gram flour along with smoked mustard oil and give it a good mix.
  • Next, you need to add the ginger garlic paste, garam masala, chili powder, lemon juice, and salt and mix again.
  • Now coat the paneer or chicken in this marinade. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, heat some oil in a pan and saute these pieces of marinated paneer or chicken till it’s crispy on all sides.
  • To assemble the sandwich, apply a layer of mayo on one slice and place the paneer or chicken pieces.
  • Now garnish with the ketchup and mustard sauce.
  • Afterward, place the cheese slices and vegetables on top.
  • Cover with another slice of bread.
  • Your homemade sub-style loaded sandwich is ready!
