Strawberry Nutella Crepes

Jump to Recipe

Crepes are one of my favorite breakfasts… I say this because my mother used to make them for us when we were kids, so they are very close to me and have always been my favorite. And you know what? We used to call them Pancakes! In fact, I can easily say that crepes are the best breakfast in the world!

It’s amazing how crepes can be filled with anything, and depending on the filling, it can be served as a breakfast, as a dessert, or even as a main course. But the most popular version of it is of course, as a dessert, and there, I decided to combine three of the best dessert ingredients: Nutella, Strawberry, and Crepes Batter and found this delicious version of Crepes dessert that everyone loves!

Here’s what you need:
  • ¾ cup of flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 to 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of melted butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Nutella

Note: Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature.

How to make it:
  • In a large bowl add in the eggs along with the milk.
  • Now add in the vanilla. You can use vanilla essence or just like me, a vanilla bean paste, whichever is available to you.
  • Add the powdered sugar and whisk it all.
  • Sift in the flour and mix it all together into a thin-ish batter with the help of a whisk.
  • Place a frying pan onto the stove and let it heat for a while. Afterward, brush some butter on it and pour in a ladle full of this batter.
  • Let it cook on one side and then flip it over and again, let it cook well on the other side too till it has turned golden.
  • Take it off the heat and then, slather a generous amount of Nutella. You can either spread it all over the surface of the crepe or just like I have done here, you can apply it on the half of it.
  • Now top it off with some fresh-cut strawberries and roasted nuts.
  • Finally, it’s time to fold it up. You can fold it any way you want; Half-ways, four-times, or give it a cut to make it in sync with the trending tortilla wrap! (Click here to watch my version of this trend); Or just go the traditional way: roll it.
  • Your Strawberry Nutella Crepes are ready! Optionally, you can also place some more chopped strawberries on top and drizzle some more Nutella or caramel sauce (click to read the recipe) on top of it.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your prettiest apron and a whisk, put on your favorite song and start creating the magic! Do share your experience of this post and recipe and your views and opinions! I would love to hear them!
