5 Minute Ice-cream

Jump to Recipe

Ice-cream is undoubtedly the world’s favourite frozen dessert!

While making homemade ice-cream might sound intimidating because it usually involves a lot of processing and churning, this recipe is going to take away all your concerns!

This 5-minute Ice-cream recipe results in a no-mess, no-egg, no-churn ice-cream that you can enjoy with your family (or even all by yourself!)

This is what you need:

  • 1 cup of Milk
  • ½ cup of Cream
  • ½ cup of Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk Powder or powdered Oats
  • ½ cup of Cashew Paste
  • Vanilla Essence (Optional)

How to make the basic mix:

  • Add Milk, Cream, and Sugar into a large bowl while continuously whisking the batter.
  • Next, add in the Milk Powder along with Cashew Paste.
  • Keep whisking till all the ingredients have dissolved and there are no lumps in the end. Also, make sure that some air does get into your mixture which will ensure your ice-cream is creamy.
  • Once the mixture is ready, there are different ways in which you can freeze your ice-cream. First, it can be to put into a silicone mold, just like the one I used, it helps to get the ice-cream out way easier than plastic molds. Secondly you can add it in a glass or plastic container with an airtight lid.

You can make endless variations of this recipe just by adding a few different additions such as Sprinkles, Nuts, Chocolate, Cocoa Powder, Brownie, Cookies, or even Rum.

I made two different variations:-

Sprinkles Version:

  • Add a bit of sprinkles to the bottom of the mold or container.
  • Fill in the mixture.
  • Add some more sprinkles at the top.
  • Freeze and enjoy!

Coffee Chocolate Brownie Version:

  • Add in cocoa powder, vary the quantity depending on your taste.
  • Next, add some brownie chunks, you can check out my recipe to making the brownie here.
  • Also put in some coffee powder, again depending on your taste.
  • Freeze and eat as much as you want!
